Advocating for Educational Excellence

Raised in Orange County and a North Tustin resident for 26 years, I have dedicated my life to community service and education. My husband and I raised four children who graduated from the Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) and went on to attend prestigious public universities. Their success is a testament to the solid foundation provided by TUSD, combined with our family's strong values and the community's support through church, sports, friends, and volunteer opportunities.

 As a TUSD School Board Trustee, I bring extensive expertise in fiscal responsibility and child development. With 20 years of executive leadership experience in mental health and non-profit organizations serving foster youth, developmentally disabled adults, veterans, and young adults, I possess the breadth and depth of knowledge required to serve our students effectively.

My academic background includes a BA in Psychology from UCLA, a Master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in pediatric psychology and additional coursework in Pupil Personnel Services.

Community involvement is a cornerstone of my life. For nearly 20 years, I have been actively engaged in my children's PTO, serving as a member and board member. I served on the Foothill High School Education Fund for seven years, including two years as President, and also led the National Charity League's North Tustin Chapter as President. In recognition of my service, I was named Volunteer of the Year for Foothill High School in 2023 and received the Spirit of the Knight Award in 2024. Additionally, I contributed to the TUSD Facilities Committee, helping to assess and improve TUSD school facilities.

As a TUSD School Board Trustee candidate, I am committed to educational excellence and safety for our students. I will advocate for a back-to-basics approach that delivers accountability and results. Inclusive parent participation is essential for our students' growth and success. With TUSD facing financial challenges, I will bring my experience in budget development and forecasting to ensure thoughtful solutions for anticipated budget constraints.

I am dedicated to continuing my service to our community, ensuring our children receive the best education in the best environments with the best educators. Together, as parents, community members, and a school district, we can achieve this goal.
